What our investors say
The portfolio selection process is unlike anything I've seen in Indian wealth management. It feels boutique, precise, and highly personalized to my family's legacy goals.
Finally, a distributor that respects the client-first approach to wealth. Their research reports are better than my former premier Indian financial institution's internal documents.
Our standards
No promised returns
Returns on market linked products are not assured. Anyone who tells you otherwise has told you something useful about themselves.
Protection is never sold as investment
If what you need is cover, we will say so plainly, including when the product that pays us more is the other one.
No churning
Moving money between schemes generates fresh commission and rarely helps you. If we suggest a change, we will tell you what it pays us.
Full disclosure of what we are paid
Ask, and you get the number. Our commission structure is available on request, for every line we distribute.
How to check any distributor, including us
- Ask for the ARN, and check it on the AMFI register yourself.
- Never transfer money to a distributor's personal account. Payments go to the fund house.
- Ask what the person is paid, and by whom.
- Walk away from anyone offering a guaranteed return.
How we are paid
You pay us no fee directly. We are paid commission by fund houses, insurers and lenders. For mutual funds it sits inside the expense ratio of the Regular plan you invest in. The details are available on request.

From the founder
Why I started MoneyBag
For more than nine years I have worked with money: first trading my own, then for two years as a relationship manager at fund houses, including Nippon India Mutual Fund and Tata Mutual Fund.
The two taught me the same thing from opposite sides. Much of what goes wrong with people's money is not the market. It is a plan nobody could keep, a cost nobody explained, or a product sold to the wrong person.
I started MoneyBag in Guwahati in July 2025 to do the plain version of this work for families in Assam and the North East: say what things cost, say what we are paid, and help you choose for the goal you actually have. If a Direct plan suits you better, we will tell you.
A plan you can keep is worth more than a tip you chase.
